Candidate Attorney Recruitment
Applications for candidate attorney positions for 2010 with
Cliffe Dekker in Johannesburg and Cape Town open on 1 October 2008 and close on
31 October 2008.
All candidate attorneys complete a two-year article period,
irrespective of whether they have completed PLT prior to joining Cliffe Dekker.
All candidate attorneys will move through the rotation system, completing at
least one rotation in litigation and one in commercial.

Student Vacation Programme
We operate a formal two-week Student Vacation Programme at our
Johannesburg and Cape Town offices.
Our 2009 Summer Vacation programme will run from 12 - 23
January.
Applications for our 2009 Summer Vacation Programme open on 1
October 2008 and close on 31 October 2008.
Why not come and spend some time with us and get a flavour of
who we are and what we do?
During the vacation programme, you will be assigned to a
fee-earner in the business and be given relevant case information to prepare
and report back on. Our vacation programmes are active and involved and give
you an intricate understanding of how our firm works, how our fee earners
interact and the nature of our relationships with clients. You will gain
exposure to at least two different practices areas during the course of your
vac work.

Bursaries
Cliffe Dekker's regional offices in Johannesburg and Cape Town
award a number of bursaries to law students in their penultimate year of study.
Bursaries are based on academic merit, as well as financial need and are no
less than R10,000.00 per annum. The number of bursaries available from Cliffe
Dekker differs annually - but there are at least 5 available in any given year.
Applications for 2009 bursaries open on 1 October 2008 and close
on 31 October 2008.
