Employment
Employment is a dynamic field of law affecting all South Africans and
foreign businesses operating in South Africa in one way or another. With the
coming into force of the new labour legislation (the Labour Relations Act,
Basic Conditions of Employment Act, Employment Equity Act, Skills Development
Act and Compensation for Occupational Injuries and Diseases Act) and the recent
amendments to certain of this legislation, South African employment law poses
new and difficult challenges for both employers and employees. Cliffe Dekker's
Employment practice is geared to guiding our primarily corporate - employer
clients through the new employment law regime. We focus on both litigation and
proactive training and advice.
