We act for a number of national and international carriers, airlines, airport operators, suppliers to the airline industry and regulatory authorities, providing them with dispute resolution services both in respect of arbitration and litigation and with general advice in aviation matters.

Representative experience

• Represented various airlines including Lufthansa, KLM, Emirates, Martinair, Kenya Airways, LAM and South African Airlink in litigation and alternative dispute resolution;
• Represented various airlines in insurance related disputes relating to damages claims for lost or damaged cargo, passenger deaths and injuries;
• Advised airlines in respect of contractual disputes arising from leases of aircraft and in respect of maintenance contracts relating to aircraft;
• Advised airlines in respect of disputes arising from awards and rulings by aviation and licensing authorities;
• Advised airlines in respect of interpretation of Conventions and Protocols as well as IATA rules and directives;
• Advised the various representative bodies of airlines including AOC and BARSA on various matters including tariff disputes and ramp handling issues.
