We have dealt with many disputes in the field of professional negligence both acting for the plaintiff and acting for the defendant (including matters where we act for professional indemnity insurers). These matters are often sensitive and our experienced lawyers are well equipped to indentify the most appropriate dispute resolution process and to manage that process to a successful conclusion.

Representative experience

• Representing the professional indemnity insurers of a leading firm of consulting engineers with regard to claim involving a national highway in South Africa.
• Represented claimants in an action against a law firm under circumstances where, through the negligent conduct of that law firm, the plaintiff had been exposed to an international suit brought against it by a third party.
• Represented professional indemnity insurers in respect of claim against an insured consulting engineering firm, based on allegations of negligence in the design and supervision of a golfing estate.
