David Thompson is the head of the Cape Town Corporate and
Commercial department and its competition law unit. David advises on all
aspects of South African corporate, commercial and competition law,
particularly mergers and acquisitions. David is Chairman of the Cape Law
Society Competition Committee and a member of the International Bar
Association. |

David began his career as a Candidate Attorney with Bowman
Gilfillan in 1988. He joined Syfret Godlonton Fuller Moore as an Associate in
1990 and was made a director in 1993 was appointed a director of what is today
Cliffe Dekker Inc when firms merged in 1998. |
