Career
Fred began his career as a Judges Clerk in 1977. In 1980, he was
appointed as a Candidate Attorney at Solomon Nicolson. Fred moved to Hofmeyr
Van Der Merwe as an Associate in 1982 and then to Botha Moll & Partners in
1985. In 1988, Fred joined Cliffe Dekker as an Associate. He moved to Kemp
Evenhuis as a Partner in 1991. In 1995, Fred rejoined Cliffe Dekker as a
Director and in September 2008 became a Director of Cliffe Dekker Hofmeyr.

- Attended to the cession of the Post Office Staff Bonds to First
National Bank Limited
- Advised Alusaf Behuisingsmaatskappy (Pty) Ltd on the winding down of
the company's housing scheme and attended to the conveyancing relating
thereto
- Advised client on the acquisition of the low-cost housing properties
held by Saambou Limited
- Registered the first bond in South Africa over a mining right in
terms of the Mineral and Petroleum Recourses Development Act, Act 28 of 2002
