Career
Dawie started his career in 1979 as an Air Traffic Controller for the
South African Airforce. In 1985 he joined De Klerk & Van Gend as a
Candidate Attorney and subsequently moved to Carinus & Brand to complete
his articles of clerkship in 1986. In 1987 he joined Fourie Basson &
Veldtman as an Associate, moved to Lewis Coetzee & Truter where he remained
an Associate until he joined Silberbauers in 1989, initially as an Associate
and subsequently as a Director in 1994. When Silberbauers joined the practice
of Cliffe Dekker in 1999, Dawie remained a member of the board of directors. In
September 2008 Dawie became a Director of Cliffe Dekker Hofmeyr.
