Preeta Bhagattjee is a member of Cliffe Dekker's Technology
practice. Preeta has assisted numerous major clients, both within the ICT
sector and as customers of ICT services, on technology and communications law,
e-commerce law, intellectual property, outsourcing and service level agreements
and data protection and privacy issues. |

Preeta began her career at Cliffe Dekker & Todd Inc as a
Candidate Attorney in 1997. In 1999, Preeta was made an Associate at Cliffe
Dekker Fuller Moore Inc and promoted to the position of Senior Associate in
2000. In 2001, Preeta was promoted to Director. |

providers on major outsourcing and technology deals with South African
customers

including with IBM, Oracle, HP, Dell, Vignette, Siemens, SAS, AT&T,
Microsoft, SAP and Tibco

respect of local and international outsourcing transactions
- Advised a major banking group on various aspects of its
offshore business process outsourcing operations
- Advised various major companies on their technology,
intellectual property, outsourcing, service level agreement and e-commerce-

- Advised various clients on technology and banking-related
legal compliance, including data security, internet banking, data protection,
labour and privacy issues
- Advised a number of clients on various aspects of compliance
with the provisions of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act
- Advised a major bank on various outsourcing projects relating
to its technology requirements and its credit card and smart card business
including in respect of EMV chip card production and personalisation
- Appointed by the Communications Minister to the nine-member
board of the .za Domain Name Authority and currently serves as the vice
chairperson
