Mondo Ntlha is the head of Cliffe Dekker's competition law department, dealing with all aspects of South African competition law. Prior to joining Cliffe Dekker, Mondo was the Chief Legal Counsel and Acting Deputy Commissioner of the Competition Commission of South Africa. She was involved in making decisions on whether or not to approve mergers, whether or not to prosecute firms for anti-competitive behaviour, whether or not to grant exemption applications and providing advisory opinions to the public.

^ Career

Mondo began her career as a candidate attorney at Cheadle Thompson and Haysom in 1994. She was made an associate in 1997. In 1999, Mondo was promoted to senior associate. Mondo joined the Competition Commission in 1999 as a senior investigator in the mergers and acquisitions division. In 2003, she was promoted to chief legal counsel and acting deputy commissioner. Mondo joined Cliffe Dekker Inc as a director in 2005.
