Zithu began his career in 1999 as Public Prosecutor at the Wynberg
Magistrate's Court in Cape Town. He then joined a law firm in 1999 as a
Candidate Attorney and became an Associate in 2002. In 2004, Zithu joined
Jeftha Twala (now Cliffe Dekker Hofmeyr) as a Director.

- Conducted a major arbitration for the Robben Island Museum relating
to a contractual dispute with its major service provider
- Acted for the South African Broadcasting Association in an interdict
application brought against it to prevent the broadcast of a "Special
Assignment" programme
- Acted for the Independent Development Corporation (IDC) in an
insolvency matters
- Acted for the South African Broadcasting Association (SABC) in
securing access of TV cameras to the courtroom in the litigation between Dr W A
Mqogi and the City of Cape Town
- Acted for one of the biggest South African sports organisations in
various litigation matters
- Acted for the Department of Correctional Services
- Represented the Transport and Education Training Authority assisting
to recover funds invested in Fidentia Asset Management (Pty) Ltd
