Career
Quintin began his career as a Candidate Attorney at Cliffe Dekker in
2003. In 2005 he was admitted as an Attorney, a Notary and a Conveyancer and
became an Associate. Quintin was promoted to the position of Senior Associate
in 2007. In September 2008 Quintin Honey became a Senior Associate of Cliffe
Dekker Hofmeyr.

Experience
- Advised on, structured and negotiated numerous mergers and
acquisitions (including BEE transactions), joint ventures and corporate
restructures
- Advised various non-resident clients on investment and establishing
operations in South Africa
- Advised on, drafted and negotiated agreements for various commercial
transactions including share sale agreements, shareholders agreements, sale of
business agreements, mining related agreements, share incentive schemes,
funding and security agreements, restraints of trade undertakings, development
leases, other real estate related agreements and aviation related
agreements
- Conducted numerous legal due diligence investigations
- Member of the team advising Ellerine Holdings Limited in respect of
the acquisition of its entire issued share capital by African Bank Investments
Limited pursuant to a scheme of arrangement for approximately R10 bn
- Member of the team advising Petmin Ltd on its secondary listing on
the Alternative Investment Market of the London Stock Exchange plc, Petmin Ltd
having a market capitalisation upon listing of approximately R600m
- Member of the team advising The Standard Bank of South Africa Ltd in
respect of its institutional securities brokerage joint venture with Credit
Suisse (International) Holding AG
- Member of the team advising Ellerines Holdings Ltd in their merger
with Relyant Retail Ltd, valued at R1,451 bn in a share for share transaction
between two major South African furniture retailers with interests throughout
Africa
- Member of the team advising Harmony Gold Mining Company Ltd on its
R52 bn attempted hostile take-over of Goldfields Ltd
- Member of the team advising Netpartner Investments Ltd in respect of
the acquisition of its entire issued share capital by Network Healthcare
Holdings Ltd, South Africa's largest private hospital group, pursuant to a
scheme of arrangement
- Member of the team advising Jigsaw Holdings Ltd in respect of the
acquisition of its entire issued share capital by Revesco Holdings Ltd pursuant
to a scheme of arrangement
