Justin Liebenberg is a tax specialist with a broad understanding and experience of the tax issues facing corporate taxpayers in South Africa. He has experience in many facets of tax consulting including tax planning and structuring, dispute resolution and tax risk management. In addition to domestic tax matters he has advised extensively on the tax implications of inbound and outbound investment in South Africa. Justin has an established media profile and has been quoted widely in South African business publications. He is a strong believer in team work and has a passion for developing young tax professionals.

Justin joined Cliffe Dekker Tax as a Director in May 2008. Prior to this he was the Head of Tax and a Partner in Grant Thornton, Johannesburg, where he built and grew Grant Thornton's Tax Advisory and Compliance Services division. Prior to this he worked as a Senior Manager in the financial services tax divisions of KPMG and Ernst & Young. He completed his traineeship for the CA(SA) qualification at KPMG in their financial services audit division.
