Patrick is Head of Cliffe Dekker's Tax practice. He has
extensive experience in the insurance industry in respect of life and short
term insurance and has consulted to a large number of financial services
companies. Patrick has also written a large number of technical articles that
have been published in the financial and lay press. Patrick is a former member
of the Public Accountants and Auditors Board Education Committee on Taxation
and the SAICA National Tax Committee; and a former external examiner on
Taxation on the BCom course at Witwatersrand University.
Patrick was a tax director of KPMG from 1986 to 2006 and was
formerly the Managing Partner of KPMG Tax on a national basis prior to his
relocation to Cape Town in 2000. He joined Cliffe Dekker Tax (Pty) Ltd in 2006
as a Director and National Head of the Tax practice.
